Vehicle Detail
Up for auction or Buy it Now is my 1977 Chevrolet C-10 Scottsdale stepside pickup truck. It has a front clip off a 1986 Chevrolet truck with a phantom grille. I bought it so I could get to and from a job while I'm in school, but I haven't been able to find a job that fits around my school schedule. It runs good, it's a fun project and it's a really cool truck, HOWEVER, this truck costs me money (car insurance, gas, my inability to refrain from buying performance parts for it) and I don't have any extra money coming in, therefore IT MUST GO. I am from New York so I registered this vehicle in New York. I have a CLEAR New York title. There is ZERO smog equipment on this truck. If you live someplace where smog is required, do know that it will need smog equipment installed to pass emissions. If you have all the parts needed to convert this truck back to CA/Federal emissions, I am confident it will pass emissions testing. The engine is basically stock with an Edelbrock low rise, dual plane intake and an Edelbrock 600 CFM carb. This is a PROJECT vehicle. It is NOT restored. There is no radio. Most of the A/C components were removed by the previous owner. It needs work, mostly cosmetic. The stepside bed needs wood installed. The 350 V8 runs quite well. I rebuilt the Edelbrock #1400 600 CFM carburetor. I drive it a few times a week without any issues. The interior is decent. The bench seat is comfortable and has a cool center console with cup holders that folds up. The bench seat looks like it may have come out of a Blazer or a Suburban. Besides the lower doors, there isn't much rust that I can see other than surface corrosion. All the gauges, exterior lights and the dimmer switch work. The truck has a pop-off steering wheel for security. NEW dual exhaust system, Flowtech headers, X-Pipe and Purple Hornie mufflers with down-turns installed by Marco's Muffler here in Sacramento. It's a bit loud when you get into it, but it sounds good. This exhaust system cost over $600. That's HALF the Buy it Now price. The battery is only a couple months old. NEW valve cover gaskets. NEW alternator belt. Recent tune-up including ACCEL shorty plugs, wires, cap, rotor and boot protectors. The brand new coil I bought was defective so I reinstalled the other coil and it works fine. NEW transmission fluid cooler. NEW turn signal cam and lever. NEW kickdown cable, throttle cable and bracket. Here is a list of RPOs on the placard in the glove box: C60 ALL WEATHER AIR CONDITIONING, F51 HEAVY DUTY FRONT/REAR SHOCKS, G50 HEAVY DUTY REAR SPRINGS, LS9 V8 ENGINE 350 C.I., N41 VARIABLE RATIO POWER STEERING, VF1 CHROMED REAR BUMPER, YFS CALIFORNIA EMISSIONS, ZLB L78-15/B TBLS HWY BL, Z53 GAUGES VOLTMETER, OIL PRESSURE, 12L FROST WHITE SOLID PAINT, A01 SOFT-RAY TINTED GLASS, E63 STEPSIDE PICKUP BOX, F59 FRONT STABILIZER BAR, J50 VACUUM POWER BRAKES, M40 TURBO HYDRAMATIC, U63 PUSH BUTTON AM RADIO, XLB L78-15/B TBLS HWY BL, YLB L78-15/B TBLS HWY BL, ZY1 SOLID PAINT, Z62 SCOTTSDALE EQUIPMENT, 25W XDD1 BLUE CUSTOM VINYL With a 3"/4" drop and front/rear roll pans this truck would look sick. I'd love to do it myself but a) I don't have any money and b) I'm a Mopar guy. This truck would make an excellent low budget project. Parts for these trucks are ridiculously easy to find. The Pick 'N' Pull locations in the Sacramento area have tons of parts for '73-'87 GM full size trucks. I don't mind letting the truck sit for a week or so while arrangements are made for pickup or shipping. A non-refundable deposit of $300 is required within 48 hours and payment-in-full is required within 10 days. Email me with any questions. If you'd like to call and talk to me personally about this vehicle my number is 315-679-7020. I have class from 1240pm to 705pm Monday through Friday. Leave a message if I am unable to answer and I will get back to you.
