LExterior Color: WhiteInterior Color: GrayTitle: Clear Description With 4 generations below its belt, and being in the family of America's best selling trucks, this fifth generation Ford Truck stands proudly as an example of the slogan "Built Ford Tough" It is ready for nearly anything you can throw at it. Offered For Sale by the California Automobile Museum A 1969 Ford F-100 Custom Cab Long Bed 4X4. Believed to be a 4 owner vehicle, this Ford has been well maintained and cosmetically restored to very high standards over the last 7 + years by its current owner. This is a documented California truck, sold in Redding Ca on 11/1/1969. While not a perfect restoration as far as original equipment, color, fabric, etc., this is a very comfortable, functional, tastefull upgrade to the original design. Mechanically, this Ford still retains it original 360 cubic inch V8 coupled to the factory 4 speed manual transmission and manual transfer case. The engine is all stock with the exception of the exhaust. Headers are installed in place of the original manifolds. The engine has had a new timing chain and gear set installed, a new waterpump, and a new fuel pump installed as well. The radiator was replaced and the cooling system drained and refilled with new coolant. Just one of the creature comforts installed in this Ford is a complete functioning Vintage Air brand air conditioning system. The rear axle is original Dana 60 semi floater limited slip differential with the stock 3:50 gear ratio and a recent service including oil and gasket. The front axle is a tastefull and convenient upgrade. It is a Ford disc brake axle removed from a 1975 pick up with Warn hubs containing the same 3:50 gear ratio as the rear end. The steering box was replaced, upgraded to power steering and the box itself as well as the linkage are from the same donor 1975 pick up. These upgrades were a direct bolt in changeover so no need to worry about poor installation or fabrication. The brake system was also upgraded to power assisted braking. The truck has a dual exhaust system with mello sounding Flowmaster mufflers installed. The truck holds the road and growls along thanks to the LT265/70R17 Dick Cepec Mountaincat Radial E/Ts mounted to Ultra Type 164 rims. The exterior of this truck has been refinished in a three tone scheme of white and blue being the main colors and a purple accent in the blue trim stripes. The paint quality and condition are nearly perfect with no major scratches, dings, dents, or inperfections visible anywhere. The truck bed has been prepped and coated with a durable spray in bedliner by Line X. Numerous seals, weather stripping, rubber bumpers, knobs, handles, and trim were replaced with items supplied by LMC Truck. This truck is a true head turner. Inside, you find a warm inviting cab complete with a trim color matching dash. All of the accessories inside work as designed and the truck is equipped with a keyless entry system as well. The headliner has been replaced with an overhead stereo console complete with 4 speakers and a Pioneer CD player with remote. The Air Conditioning controls are easily accessable and the A/C is a welcome feature on warm days. The seat, carpet, headliner, and other interior components are covered in high quality durable material and show almost no signs of wear. This truck has been operated without worry, taking 2 problem free trips from California to Montana in one year and conquering a major snow storm thanks to the 4 wheel drive during one of the trips. Overall, this is one grand example of a customized Ford F-100 and is as straight and clean as a show quality driver can get. With only three minor known flaws, (small oil leak, speedometer/odometer non functional, both doors require a little effort to close due to new weather stripping) you can jump in and enjoy this truck right away. It is a true joy to drive, and requires minimal operator input thanks to the power brakes and power steering. Whether the soothing sounds of the tires is your thing, or the tunes cranking in your ears, you have it all in this Ford. This is a one of a kind truck and will not last long. Also included is the original purchase invoice, the warranty tag, the owner's manual, the warranty manual, and over $12,000.00 in receipts, not to mention the original California Black and yellow plates. Production Information Original list price: $2,430 Production: 7,940 The History The history of trucks goes back to the earliest days of automotive development. While Ford Motor Company did not offer a truck in its earliest days, by 1917 Ford offered a truck chassis and by 1925 was selling a Model T-based light pickup. The modern F-Series trucks date from 1948 and the F-100 entered the market in 1953. The 1960s were a period of particularly intense development for trucks as more people bought them as second family vehicles and used them for family and recreational purposes. The spartan interiors and stiff suspensions of the earlier trucks gave way to more comfort, attractive styling, and car-like convenience. In 1965 Ford brought out the first factory-built four door pickup and Twin I-Beam front suspension that improved the ride on two-wheel drive trucks. Our featured truck is a 1969 F-100 with revised styling that first appeared in 1967. With minor revisions the body style would last well into the ‘80s. This particular truck has been modified and updated with numerous improvements: The front axle has been replaced with a 1975 version featuring disk brakes, aftermarket air conditioning has been added, the interior has been redone with custom touches including an overhead console, and the truck sports a custom paint job. The drive train includes the 360 cu. in. engine, a manual transmission and a 4 wheel drive transfer case. With 4 generations below its belt, and being in the family of America's best selling trucks, this fifth generation Ford Truck stands proudly as an example of the slogan "Built Ford Tough" It is ready for nearly anything you can throw at it.
Offered For Sale by the California Automobile Museum
A 1969 Ford F-100 Custom Cab Long Bed 4X4.

The History
The history of trucks goes back to the earliest days of automotive development.
This particular truck has been modified and updated with numerous improvements:
The front axle has been replaced with a 1975 version featuring disk brakes, aftermarket air conditioning has been added, the interior has been redone with custom touches including an overhead console, and the truck sports a custom paint job.
The drive train includes the 360 cu. in. engine, a manual transmission and a 4 wheel drive transfer case.

Would you like to donate to the Museum?
Do you have a vehicle you would like to consign with us?
Please contact Art for additional information regarding donating or consigning your vehicle for sale.
This auction is a legally binding contract to buy this vehicle. All vehicles are sold as-is unless otherwise specified. I have done my best to accurately describe this vehicle. It is up to the buyer to come see and further inspect the car before the end of the auction.-->
