You are bidding on a 1927 ALL STEEL Ford Hot Rod, Rat Rod Pickup Truck mounted on a 1931 Ford frame (registered as a 1931 Ford). The engine is a 1954 324ci Oldsmobile Rocket V8 engine with triple Stromberg “97” carbs on an Edelbrock manifold. The original dashboard gas tank is still in use. The engine ran a few months ago, but the engine is not currently running (might be the starter). Probably only needs a little TLC to get it running great. Has drum brakes that needs a new master cylinder. The doors are welded shut. Great Rat Rod to make your own! NO RESERVE!!! On Jul-23-11 at 11:13:02 PDT, seller added the following information: Just so everyone knows, it looks like the main culprit was the starter. I pulled it out and grounded it, the solenoid would engage but the gear didn't turn, so I sent it out to be rebuilt and will have it back in a couple days. So hopefully I can get it running again by the end of the auction. I will keep you all updated.On Jul-28-11 at 21:01:43 PDT, seller added the following information: I got the rebuilt starter in and the motor is cranking but not starting yet. It doesn't seem like it is getting a good spark even though it has a new distributor and coil. It probably needs new spark plugs, which I will try to replace before the auction ends tomorrow.
