Selling my low mile 1969 Karmann Ghia . I bought this to restore but have not found the time. I bought this car because unlike most Ghias it is a honest and unmolested example. I also wanted a 60's ghia with the bullet lights and chrome bumpers, needless to say I walked away from a lot of bondo up ghias before this one crossed my path. Having restored several vws over the years I prefer to start with a clean slate and something someone else hasn't messed with. This car fit the bill aside from a respray at some point no one has had the opportunity to customize or ruin it with their handiwork. The miles are super low and believeable as the car has sat for over 15 years according to the person I bought it from. The car has a great running 1500cc single port engine. I did need to rebuild the carb and clean out the gas tank to get it to run but now she always starts right up and shifts and drives great. The car is not roadworthy at this point please do not think you can come here and drive her home as the brakes are low because of all the sitting. I have been stopping the car around the lot with the e- brake. The nose is unbelieveable for a ghia one small bonk as shown in the pics but not all filled up like most. The front disc brake axle beam is very solid. The common areas ie., battery area, rockers and rear lid are rusted as the pictures show. I have a reasonable reserve on this please bid what you are willing to pay and I may just sell it to the highest bidder. I will try to add some underneath photos before the auction ends.
