Vehicle Detail

This is an all steel 1933 Ford Fordor Sedan powered by a 59A 239 ci 100hp Flathead with Offenhauser heads and new Stromberg carb. It drives through a manual 3 speed and original torque tube drive shaft to original banjo rear end. The frame, suspension and mechanical brakes are original. It was delivered to San Bernardino, CA in 1933 and restored in the 80s by the second owner who lived in Hesperia, CA according to the person I purchased it from. Upgrades I have made since owning it are: • New distributor, points, coil, wires, ignition ballast resistor and plugs• Replaced original fuel pump with newer sediment bowl type• Restored and installed period correct Arvin model 80B hot water heater• New "fail safe" 180º thermostats and radiator hoses• Fabricated balanced and installed a high volume 6 blade fan• Installed vintage Ampco top end lubricator• Installed turn signals that use existing cowl lights and taillights• Rebuilt generator. This car is a dependable driver in summer heat as well as winter time. It starts right up, idles quietly and moves right along at 55-60 mph hummin' like a sewing machine. The Ampco top end oiler uses Marvel Mystery Oil and keeps the valve train incredibly quiet. The interior is beige mohair from Belgium which looks pretty good but there are a few small seams which need closing up. The paint is in decent shape and is presentable but there are some worn and chipped areas on the upper part of the body and hood. We really hate to part with the old gal but have run out of garage space. Hopefully she will find another vintage Flathead enthusiast to give her a good home and enjoy this fine piece of Rolling Steel American History. Feel free to ask any questions you may have and good luck!On Jul-19-11 at 19:33:59 PDT, seller added the following information: On Jul-21-11 at 17:17:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I've gotten a lot of questions concerning the gold parts on the car. The hubcaps, grille, horns and hood ornament are finished in gold electroplate. The prior owner campaigned an over the top 37 chevy lowrider show car that was completely gold plated and he threw the 33 ford parts into his batches. All of these parts can easily be chrome plated and would look just as nice.On Jul-22-11 at 06:22:24 PDT, seller added the following information: The mileage on the odometer reads 12680 and has been disconnected due to a noisy speedometer cable. The actual mileage on the motor since rebuild is less than 15,000.
