Vehicle Detail
2007 BMW G650 XChallenge with ABS One Owner, Like New Condition with only 7500 miles and BMW Motorad and Touratech Accessories. Never down or damaged in any way at all. INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES ABS Anti-Lock Brakes (a very expensive factory option) BMW Motorrad Engine Guard Bars that I had custom stripped, sand-blasted, and powder-coated in Aluminum Silver so that they would better match the rest of the bike (I am ridiculously anal about this stuff) BMW Motorrad Rear Brake Reservoir / Heel Guard BMW Motorrad Voltage Regulator / Clutch Reservoir Guard Touratech Large Rear Rack Touratech Handlebar Bag Touratech Small Exhaust Shield Tail-Tidy with LED Turn Signals (Original tail is included of course) 15 Tooth Front Sprocket for highway riding (Original sprocket included too) This is a one-owner bike that has been scrupulously maintained and it has never once been off-road. I am over 40 years old and am a seasoned rider with 4 motorcycles in my current collection. This motorcycle is just getting to the point of completing the break-in procedures and I have performed all maintenance to a level that is stricter than factory recommendations and using BMW Motorrad oil, filters etc. The Fuel-Injected BMW 650 engine is bombproof. Its reliability is legendary and that reputation has held up with this bike. Not one maintenance problem! The battery was replaced due to a recall. I will happy to help you arrange for shipping in any way that I can. Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to seeing this go to an enthusiast who will love it as much as I have. I have never had an auction with so many views and watchers before, it's pretty cool to see so many enthusiasts! I thought I would answer a few of the questions here just so everyone can see. 1. This is a 2007 XChallenge. As many of you will know, this was a very limited production motorcycle and it was only made in 2007. BMW dropped the engine to 450 cc and also dropped many of the more expensive features in their "replacement" model. Although this is a 2007 model, I bought it in July 2008 brand new from the BMW dealer in Scottsdale, AZ. At the time I decided to buy it there were only 3 brand new crated XChallenges left in the entire country (the others remaining at dealer showrooms were all demos). All 3 were at BMW's warehouse in New Jersey. I was fortunate enough to get my dealer to acquire this one for me. I believe that there is still a little bit of BMW warranty left as well (3 years from new). You could talk to your dealer and get an extended warranty if you wish but honestly if I were you I wouldn't spend the money. The BMW 650 engines are famous for their reliability and I haven't had a single problem. 2. This bike has been babied from day one. It has never once been ridden by anyone but me. It has never been off-road, motocrossed, jumped, wrecked, dropped, or even sneezed on! It has never been out of Arizona (since delivery of course - It was born in Germany after all). It has been garage-kept every day of its short life. 3. The ABS option was expensive but absolutely worth it for the peace of mind. It can also be turned off with a handlebar switch if you prefer when you are tearing through dirt. The ABS option also added a "Powerlet" power socket that you can use for heated clothing, GPS, battery tender, etc. 4. I removed the "quick-connect" tail and carbon canister and put on a tail tidy with LED blinkers for a much cleaner look. I am including the original parts if you wanted to pop them back on (in all likelihood you wont though). 5. I added a power cord for a Garmin GPSMap GPS that will be included along with other TOURATECH and BMW Motorrad accessories listed in the auction. 6. Shipping, if required, will of course be at your expense but I will be happy to help with the logistics in any way that I can. I think that's it for now, any other questions please feel free to ask! Good luck and have fun bidding!
