1986 mustang LX 5.0L 5 speed M code coupe. factory stripper. 43727 original miles. rust free california/arizona/california car. i have a carfax to support this. always garaged, never driven in winter. runs and drives excellent, engine pulls smoothly through the grears and idles evenly. MECHANICAL: everything works: tach and guages, winshield washer, radio, even the clock. new flowmaster cat back exhaust (done when i took the underside pix), oil change and maine safety inspection sticker. 5.0L engine runs smooth and quiet burns nothing. pull the dipstick and oil is clean. has 1986 dated plug wires still there. tires are recent BF goodrich traction TAs. 5 speed trans shifts positively and clutch is smooth. EXTERIOR: no rust. black paint is old with scratches and a few parking lot dings but takes a wax nice. the calif/arizona sun has faded the nose. there are a few factory paint markings still evident. INTERIOR: seats are in good condition with no tears. dash pad is sun baked/discolored and has crack on the driver's side. headliner is in good shape but has a few "bubbles". the sunvisors are deteriorated and could be replaced. shifer boot is factory and intact. factory 5.0L 5 speed LX notch coupes are fairly scarce; especially in black. this is a nice straight car that has no foolish mods. payment: full payment due via prepaid bank check or postal money order within 7 days end of auction. pick up and shipping arranged by auction winner. car is sold as is where is. if you live near by please come see it in person. feel free to email with any questions.
