This is truly a magnificient and unused 2006 R1200GS. It has just 503mi. and has been in storage for 4yrs. Storage means enclosed and out of the weather and elements. I have just taken it to Pikes Peak Motorsports BMW in Colorado Springs and had it thoroughly checked out. It would not start when I first tried after fueling it up. The repair included new injectors, new fuel pump control module, oil change and filter, new brake fluid, and new battery. It also included a full check up along with BMW factory recall regarding ABS brakes. This bill alone came to $1,094.27. Lesson learned: "Stabil Fuel stabilizer doesn't compensate for MTBE and methanol in gasoline". Here's how all of this came to be. I bought the bike new, and am the original and only owner. I had envisioned in spring of 2006 that my wife and I would spend time motor cycling and seeing the country. I should have listened closer to my Dad. You don't ever want to get old, you don't want to get sick, and you don't want to lose your job,and especially not all at the same time. As each Spring came around I though this would be the year, but it never came to be. Now I recognize that it isn't going to happen so I am selling it. Its totally stock in all ways. It has additional BMW items from the dealer. Engine cylinder protection bars, and storage cases, BMW battery charger, additional CANBUS key, along with emergency fiber CANBUS key, and aftermarket cover. Optional extras from the factory include ABS brakes, and heated grips. The tires still have the nubs on them as when new. This bike does not have scratch one on it, has never been down, and is perfect in all ways. It is Baltic Blue with alloy wheels. If a time machine exists, then this is it. You can get a brand new bike for a lot less than a current one. I hope the winning bidder will keep in touch and tell me of the tours and fun. Wish it could be me!
