Mercedes Benz 450SLC 450 SLC 107 Body Coupe Presented for Your Consideration: A 1973 Mercedes-Benz 450 SLC. This car is one of many Mercedes Benz vehicles I own and with so many projects, it's time to "pass the proverbial torch". This SLC is the more desirable early year variant with small bumpers and EFI. This one was my daily driver for a couple of years and was solid and dependable. Over that time, many nagging details were sorted out, with many hoses replaced and all belts too. So 95% of the rubber is under 3 yrs old. Engine is strong and with no clack and no smoke. This has had regular oil changes on our watch every 3-4K. Trans was flushed at this time. The front suspension was also rebuild by the previous owner. Cosmetically, She looks quite nice at 5 feet, but the car is showing some age. Interior is partially tidied but will need a bit more attention to make it perfect. The current front bumper is nothing nice - but was installed to get the state inspection. There is some rust. The rocker panels had been replaced by the previous owner. The firewall has been patched with fiberglass and the floor pans are so so. We have driven this car on several 400 mile trips without problems. It has been a carport queen for the past 2 yrs - aside from runs around the block every month or so - The last long trip taken was 2 yrs ago. Due to the age of the vehicle and how long it has been unused I cannot guarantee the ability of it to make a long trip without being checked over. The actual mileage is unknown. It is believed to be higher than what is shown on the odometer. Look at the pics - It's a nice car with lots of potential - and something You can drive around now - or take the time to restore. If you're looking for perfection, this isnt your car. If Your looking for a good deal on a serviceable MB, this could be a good fit for you.
