Up for auction with "RESERVE" is a freshly restored 1969 Pontiac Firebird Convertible (factory air) with a 350cid/Th400 Transmission. The 69 has undergone a meticulous restoration that was just completed in May of 2011 on a rust free shell. Starting with a very solid car, this 1969 Pontiac Firebird is as fresh as it gets and retains numbers matching drivetrain to protect you as an investment. The reserve has been set modestly and you could not build this car the way it sits for its price! So, bid to own and get ready to drop the top and cruise in style this summer, because this 69 Firebird drives as good as it looks. DRIVETRAIN The original #'s matching 350cid Pontiac engine was completely rebuilt and gone through , boiled, bored over .30, honed, rod bearings, rods, pistons, crank, lifters, you name it, it has been done. The 350 runs and sounds incredible! 69 Pontiac cast numbers as follows, Block # 1744 290122808. Also features, Brand new Holley 650cfm dbl pumper, Edelbrock Hi-rise aluminum intake, Chrome Headers with 2-1/2" exhaust to dual Flowmasters and 3" outlet exhaust, hi-torque mini starter, Power Steering, New Aluminum BE COOL radiator, new radiator hoses. All new Power Disc Brakes up front, master cylinder, booster, new hoses, lines, and rear drums brakes completely redone. The Air Conditioning is not working, yet componets are all there. The original Turbo-Hydramatic 400 transmission was completely rebuilt and works to perfection Trans # PV69. Additionally, this 69 Firebird features the rare slapstick shifter. Rear axle is a factory numbers matching 10 bolt open rear #353YC, axle housing # K298 9795705. PAINT & BODY The paint and body was executed in Wellington, Florida at Bare Bones Autobody wherein they massaged the rust-free body to perfection. The body was completely stripped and painted disassembled and then reassembled. The color is a rare factory paint code - 72 "Carousel Red" also known as "Hugger Orange" to Chevrolet enthusiasts. The fit and finish is absolutely breathtaking and refreshing. New trim, mouldings and badges on the exterior, Front bumper was replated and rear is excellent original condition. The hood is a fiberglas reproduction as well as the rear decklid. SUSPENSION & UNDERPINNINGS All new underpinnings were installed such as brand new bushings, heavy duty sway bar, Moog Ball Joints, Tie-rod sleeves and ends, and new gas tank and straps. This is just a summary of what has been done, please review all photos that follow below. New Custom Boyd Coddington 15x7 with BFG radial tires. Original Factory wheels and tires included with the purchase of Firebird as well. INTERIOR Features a Deluxe factory interior kit, car originally called for white, but opted black. Brandnew white top was installed with seals and cables. Additionally, New top cylinders, pump, and hoses to ensure 100% convertible top operation.
