this is a super straight rust free original colorado car. original paint still on it. dso 51. i bought 2 cars, and let my daughter pick the one she wants me to build for her, so selling the other. i have had a few other falcons before, but this by far is the straightest most rust free one, and original paint!! the previous owner told me this used to be a drag car. this car is an original 5 code for transmission---4 speed! it had ladder bars on it, and still has a driveshaft safety loop on it. i will go through car in stages. BODY: I think you would be hard pressed to find a nicer body on a 64-65 than this! it still has the original code y skylight blue paint. looks like there may have been some slight repair on drivers door, and lower fender some time ago, as paint was faded there a little. has all the trim, nice tail panel, doors and trunk shut nice and solid. all lights work, turn signals, brake lights, high low beams. the grill is clean, rear bumper nice, just needs polished--front has very small pull, maybe from being towed to the track? undercarrige has driveshaft safety loop still on it, and the mounts for the ladder bars. also has some sub-frame connectors that come with it. small door dings, but an amazing solid body!!!! INTERIOR: this was an original bench seat 4 speed car. the car now has later model buckets, and very rare and expensive hurst lightning rod shifter!!! look these up on e-bay, as a minimum, they bring $400.00--up to $2500.00--asking, and an average of $450.00-$600.00. i should have pulled them, as there is another shifter in the car, as they built up the tunnel with sheet metal to mount this on. i would put the 4 speed back in it. still has 4 speed pedal in car, and z bar in trunk with other parts. windshield has a crack, the rest is all good. radio hole was not cut up, and needs dash pad. gauges work--fuel, aftermarket temp, and oil--65 psi. alt idiot light still works. wipers also work. the lightning rods do work as they are supposed to. DRIVETRAIN: has a rebuilt 302 with edlebrock performer intake, edlebrock 4bbl carb, summit timing set, slight cam --- i have spec sheet, headers, high fire box. car sounds good, and has a lope to it. c-4 transmission, with a 9" rear end!!! car also has power brakes!! i almost went through the glass when i stepped on them, as i am used to the old single master cylinder manual brakes. the car sits right--like an old drag car, but could probably be driven every day. i have drove it down our dirt road 2 times, and over to my dads next property over 3 times. it is a neat car! gears i was told are 3:50. ENDING: if you are looking for a falcon, at a reasonable price, not like some 4 doors, or posts i have seen for crazy money!! i sell my cars at good prices, as this is a hobby. we will put the money in my daughters duster. i have the original 4 speed radiator in the trunk, will some other parts. this was an original 260 4 speed car!! the 64-65 falcons have some of the nicest body lines of any car during that era. the reserve will be under $4,000!!!!
