Selling my 1972 BMW R50/5. Bike is in great condition both cosmetically and mechanically. Only 30K original miles. Matching engine and frame numbers. All maintenance performed by Max BMW (www.maxbmw.com) in NH, where I purchased it from within the last 2 years. The previous owner was a technician there so it has been well maintained. Some recent work performed includes rebuilt carburetors, new exhaust pipes, new battery, and new tires. Transmission fluid and engine oil changed July 2nd 2011. I hate to sell it but with a baby on the way, I could use the extra money. Bike needs nothing...ready to ride. Please contact me with any questions. Thanks! The bad: Took the bike out today (July 7) and the odometer started malfunctioning. Within 10 miles the first numerical value kept turning and now reads 20K miles higher than the actual mileage. I don't know why this is happening but it has never done it before. I have found 3 places that say they can fix it however it needs to be removed and mailed out.
