ABSOLUTLY SPECTACULAR A14-MONTH ground up restoration brings you this one of a kind pristine 1966 pontiac bonneville convertible completed in November 2010 on this factory AC-equipped, bucket seat convertible (Pontiac History Services documents included). Painted in its original Cameo Ivory exterior color with red interior, power steering, power brakes, power top and driver’s side remote mirror. EXTERIOR: New base coat/clear coat PPG paint in original Cameo Ivory color. Car retains its original rust-free floor pans and trunk pan: Cost $4,800. Rechromed bumpers from Tri-City Plating, tripled chrome plated, with lifetime warranty: $1,135. New convertible top with glass back window, top well and top motor installed: $1,650. Rims were sandblasted and powder coated. Drums were sandblasted, trued, painted with new wheel bearings, lug nuts, trim rings and radial tires installed. New emblems and Bonneville letters installed. NOS tail light lenses and right hand tail light bezel ($400) installed. New door handles and door locks installed. Rechromed driver’s side remote mirror and new passenger side mirror installed. New windshield installed. New top, door, quarter window and trunk weatherstrips installed. Headlight bezels rechromed ($300) and original T-3 headlights installed. NOS antenna mast with new base, mast pad and nut installed. NOS front parking light housings and lenses and new rear back-up lamp housings and lenses installed. New gas door/license plate holder and rubber bumpers installed. INTERIOR: Seats recovered with NOS material from Tom Ames in Michigan: $1,100. Recovered dash pad from Just Dashes in original color: $900. New carpet, door sill plates, floor insulation, seat piping, window cranks, interior door handles, armrests and bases, rear ashtrays, glove box, ignition cylinder, radio knobs, dash and steering wheel woodgrain installed. NOS horn cap installed. DRIVETRAIN AND CHASSIS: Original YF block 389 4 barrel engine completely rebuilt (documents included). Cost $2,089. Transmission removed, replaced converter seal, output shaft seal, modulator, filter and pan gasket. Transmission did not need rebuilding. All new hoses, belts, fuel pump, oil pump, heater hoses, AC hoses, correct fuel filter, starter, coil, points, condensor and battery installed. New Carter AFB carburetor installed. Original radiator cleaned, checked, painted and reinstalled. New heater core installed. All new front suspension including upper and lower ball joints, inner and `outer tie rod ends, upper and lower control arm bushings, sway bar bushings and idler arm. Four new coil springs and KYB gas shocks installed. All new brakes with new brake hoses, brake shoes, adjusters, hardware kits, four new wheel cylinders and new master cylinder installed. All new dual exhaust installed. Cost: $410. Frame and underbody painted and detailed. New engine and transmission mounts installed. TRUNK: Trunk painted and new side panels, trunk mat and spare tire cover installed. New spare tire hold down rod installed.
