Mercedes Benz 1995 Gelaendewagen G320 - Vehicle Description VIN # WDB46323117098222. Gunmetal metallic grey with grey leather interior, with 72,391 original miles. Proclaimed as one of the best off road vehicles of all time, this 1995 G-Wagon (pre-Mercedes Daimler-Chrysler merger) was professionally imported in 1995 by Auto Europa and was properly federalized (documents scanned and attached below), professionally installed air bags and US catalytic converters and turn signal modifications all made by Auto Europa prior to arriving to its new US owners home. Auto Europa was Mercedes Benz’s only true partner in the US in the mid 90s for importing these world-class vehicles. At a bargain price of $135,000 (in 1995), this 1995 G-Wagon spent its life well maintained and pampered. The vehicle is extremely reliable and is my daily driver. The car is a conversation piece and is unique. The interior is true Mercedes Benz, true to its roots, unlike the plastic interior used in today’s G500 model offered in the United States. The G320 model is the predecessor to the G500, the key difference being interior quality and the engine size. This G-Wagen is equipped with custom 20” MB OEM wheels with BFG All-Terrain KO’s (the very best 4x4 tires available). The exterior is gunmetal metallic grey and the interior is full grey leather. Options: heated seats, ice cold AC and heat, 6 disc original Mercedes Benz stereo with integrated weather radio (a European model option), electric windows, fog lights, wood interior, Mercedes Benz original wool floor mats, Mercedes Benz issue rubber rear tub (fits behind the seats to protect rear carpet), front and rear Mercedes Benz issue all weather rubber mats. The main difference to the G320 model in comparison to the G500 is the transmission: two sets of gearing and a sophisticated 4 wheel drive system make it a superior off road vehicle, should the need ever arise. The G320 cruises effortlessly at 80 miles per hour on the freeway and gets better gas mileage (17-20 MPG in comparison to 12-15 MPG in the G500) in comparison to the G500. When the going gets tough, there is an electronic Rear Diff Lock, Front Diff Lock and Center Diff Lock to lead the way. If the going really gets tough, there is an entire set of lower gears accessible with a flick of the secondary stick shift knob, with 1st gear becoming a “granny gear” and the top gear maxing out at 35-40 miles per hour. If you have traction, you could climb a vertical wall. In comparison, the G500 has all-time- all-wheel -drive, wasting additional fuel. The G320 can electronically disengage its two front wheels becoming a “2 wheel drive”, saving both mileage and wear-and-tear on the off-road components. This vehicle is a true descendent of its military background. Versions of this vehicle continue to serve on multiple continents throughout the globe. It is this blend of best-in-class off road ability and true Mercedes Benz styling that makes this G-Wagon bullet proof in reliability and performance. The in-line 6 cylinder engine is found in many other “made for USA” E320 sedans, providing Mercedes dealers with many parts should you need them. I have worked with a local Mercedes dealer exclusively to maintain the vehicle impeccably. It is the original paint so it does have some scratches, nicks, and micro surface rust in a couple seams. The rest of the body and floorboards and undercarriage are solid. This vehicle will make a great daily driver or impressive conversation piece. This is one of three I own. It is hard to let her go but I need the space.
