1988 BMW M3 This has got to be one of the most fun cars to drive ever. The 3.0L straight 6 engine and 5 speed transmission came out of a 95 M3 with 65k miles. I purchased another E30 M3 from a friend who unfortunately totaled his car at an open track event. This was the first time he took this car to a track event (and sadly the last). I located this 88 M3 from a BMW repair shop that had it sitting undercover for about 5 years. I then took the drive train, interior, suspension and brakes from the totaled car and put them into the good chassis. My intentions were to use this car as a fun daily driver and occasional track day car, so I had anything that was worn out replaced or rebuilt. As much as I enjoy this car and would like to continue to improve it, I just have too many cars. My wife has drawn the line and said she will not feed me anymore until I sell some of them. The good: Needs nothing to be driven every day or taken to a track day event Fresh tint Slotted rotors Mobil 1 engine oil Redline tranny and diff oil Motul brake fluid Cold A/C Optima battery Performance chip What needs love: The interior is ok but front seats are worn. Needs driver’s under tray (cheap part from any E30) Needs speakers installed Rear package tray has a hole cut in it from a speaker box. Hood and driver’s front fender have small dings and large creases. Some small dings here and there on the car but nothing serious. One or all of the tires seem to be slightly flat spotted. The wheels make small vibration at freeway speeds. Could just need rebalance but I think there are flat spots. The bumper covers need side markers. The paint is rought in some areas looks good from 10 feet away. I have tried to present this car as honestly I can. Title is clean, no salvage and no major accidents. Paint is original as well as all the panels. As you can see the milage on the odo is accurate and matches the title.
