this auction is for a very nice 1964 falcon convertiable. let me start by saying that i receintly aquired this car. the man that i bought it from has owned it since 1999 or 2000. he inherited. the car from his father, who had owned it for about 15 years before his passing. the father bought it in cal. and brought it to n.c. it has been here ever since. the cars shows 79,905 miles that was reported to me as being correct and original. the original color was white. as you can see it is now red. it was painted about 10 years ago. nice job of painting but prep could have been better. there were a few SMALL dents that could have been taped out, a couple SMALL areas could have been finished sanded better, and they did not remove the trim. it was taped up and has some over spray. having said that, the car look like it was painted yesterday and looks SUPER!!! i would consider this car a great driver. it is not a show car. this car has been a weekend around town car for the last 10 years or so. very few miles were put on in that time. it has been garaged for the last 25 years, at least. the car is in great driver quality condition. new parts and work that has been done includes, paint, new top , back window, and well liner. new front and rear seat covers of original design, new carpet, new shaded windshield. car was converted from generator to altanator. brakes have been done and the car has recieved service as needed. the car runs very well. no smoke or strange noises. shifts smooth. front end is tight, no play in the steering wheel. the trans appears to have a small leak that looks to be coming from the dip stick tube seal. shocks have been replaced. exhaust seems fine.the body is VERY rust free. the only sign of rust that i can see is two small patches on the drivers front floor pan. (see picture.) the rest of the car is VERY rust free. the only repair on the body that i can spot is the right front fender took a LITE bump (see picture) this was not pulled correctly and was painted in that condition. hardly noticeable. doors, hood, and trunk lid work smoothly. glass is all good and winds up and down fine. power top operates as it should. all lights work except the dash and interior lites. horn, heater and wipers work fine. radio dose not work. clean N.C. title in my name will go with the car. this car is ready for fun in the sun NOW. drive now and upgrade later. i am sure that i have left some questions unanswered. feel free to email me with questions or call me on my cell.
