Very nice looking BMW 740iL with low miles for its age, (~10K/year). My description will mostly list the problem areas, but please don't consider it totally inclusive, as I may have forgot or overlooked something. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask as this car will sell AS IS/WHERE IS to the highest bidder - starting bid is the local scrap value. Wheels are aftermarket MODA with low profile Fusion ZRi rated 235/46R17 tires in good shape, if the buyer desires the original BMW wheels and tires they can be purchased for $200 for the set. No handling fees but shipping is the buyer's responsibility. Exterior: . The paint overall is very good, will need a bath and if the selling price gets high enough I'll run it through the wash. There is a break in the plastic that is above the front bumper, pretty much in the center. There are a couple of small pine sap deposits on the hood and the leading edge of the hood has some very minor rock chips, as do the mirrors. There is 1 quarter size door ding on the passenger rear door. The driver side mirror has a light scratch, does not cut the clear coat. The trim above the windshield is cracking and is missing along the top. Interior: The interior overall is very good, there are a couple of light marks on the headliner, drivers door handle is dirty, the passenger side A frame liner is off it is missing a clip. The rear passenger privacy panel has retracted into the door and the electric window for this door sounds like it will need repair soon. The driver's door window switch is intermittent. The radio does not work (actually it plays for around 30 seconds and then turns off). The sun roof switch has been disconnected. The driver's seat upright is worn and does have a hole, the frame at the bottom of the seat is loose which at times causes the electric connection to become dislodged. The dash indicators has some missing pixels, sometimes they are very clear and at other times can't be read. Engine/Transmission: The 8 cylinder gas engine starts and runs good, it probably needs some tuning as I can smell gas after starting but after it warms a bit smooths out and has no issues. The Transmission was swapped out last year with a newer used model, it was going into safe mode and seemed to slip going into 3rd. The current transmission is doing the same. I only drive the car a mile or two a day to the office and back for the most part, and think this may be the cause. When I have taken it on longer trips there have not been any issues, but there are no guarantees. The car does not smoke, leak or burn oil, it does loose power steering fluid over time. The oil filter housing mount was broke by one of the oil change places and is not tie-wrapped. AC runs and cools. Please ask any question prior to bidding and intend to pay if you do bid. In addition to the sale price there will be a $100 document fee added to the final price and included in the deposit. I can probably find someone to deliver if you need, but in any case shipping cost and details are your responsibility. I require a $600 dollar non-refundable deposit within 24 hours of the end of the sale or I will do all those bad things they say on other eBay listings. I will work with you but would like the car removed within 7 days from the end of the sale and after 14 days the sale will be voided and the car re-listed unless total payment has been made and a scheduled pickup date established.
