Vehicle Detail
1965 Impala SS True factory 4 speed Muncie car. The car has original 12 bolt posi rear end as well. The original motor has been changed years ago and now has a 350 that does not run. After running the trim tag I found that the car has been painted white, it was originally Madeira Maroon (Paint Code N-N) Trim tag shows Trim code of 802, Ivory vinyl bucket seats SS coupe/convertible convertible. The carpet and Dash colors were Black. As far as accessories, the car had Tinted glass, Air Conditioning, An M-21 or M-22 Muncie transmission, rear manual antenna, and padded dash. The car has some rust in various places. The trunk pan is in poor shape and will need to be replaced. The rest of the pans are in fair to good condition, there are some holes but can possible be repaired. The majority of the AC components are still intact with the exception of the compressor. I have gotten under the car to verify the muncie transmission and the 12 bolt posi rear. They are both there and not locked up. From what I can tell the rear axle ratio was either a 3.36 or 3.73. I did not pull the cover. The car could have originally had a 396 big block. The interior is complete minus carpet. The seats and frames appear to be in good shape, very usable. The 4 speed console is in good shape, along with the dash, dash pad, and gauges. There is a factory original tach in the dash as well. All the glass is in good shape in the car, all windows including door glass, wing windows, and rear windows roll down without any problems. Door panels still have SS emblems intact but the lower portions of them are coming apart. The car will come with a bill of sale. Trades may be considered for the car. Also, the rear brakes have been disassembled previously and the internal parts (springs, shoes...etc) have been removed. Drums and cylinders as well as the lines are there. I will add some pictures of the trim tag and seat belts as well. Thank you. The transmission casting number is 3851325 and the small metal tag attached to the case is 3856436. I can't get under the car to check the date code. Thanks again.
