Vehicle Detail
I am the ORIGINAL owner of this car and have had it over a decade! Every maintenance has been done on time and accordingly. I take VERY good care of my car and I think you would find it hard to find a car this nice with even half the mileage or age, seriously. Mechanically runs perfect and everything works as it should ie: windows, radio, AC blows cold and auto works perfect! Transmission shifts smooth and suspension is still tight. As I have had this car since new there are many things I have replaced and changed, here are some: - Full new sport suspension (shocks and springs) from Sachs (bmw oem supplier) at 120,000 miles - New transmission at 105,000 miles (as the early models on all 1999 and 2000's developed fine cracks and failed, NEW one problem fixed!) - Replace belts and a few hoses last summer as originals were getting old and hard - A few years ago added the expensive BMW oem 18" double spoke rims (the best BMW rims you can get for this model) w/contisport 3 tires! (tires replace about nine months ago so still have LOTS of tread) -3M composite window tint, that is dark but not limo tint - K&N air filter that is washed and re-oiled every year - I wax the car every six months as you can see the original paint still has a mirror shine - Oil changed with german Lubro-Moly every year as well - Over decade there has been a lot of preventative maintenance but you get the picture ( I ALWAYS use bmw oem parts or better NEVER cheaper knockoffs!) Now there are some things to point out as a ten year old car is never perfect :) - There is a tear in the driver seat, a ding over the rear left wheel, and the rear left door handle is missing a piece. - Mechanically: - The coolant tank does steam/leak as there is a fine fracture in the plastic manifold on the very top left side of the radiator. The part cost about $30 but to put it in the entire front of the car would have to be removed and I would rather just fill up the reservoir before the light comes on once every month or two. - Also sometimes when started the oil light comes on for 3-4 secs. it is old and needs to be replaced, but I would never do it as I know how to read a dipstick and the oil level is PERFECT and see no point to the idiot light.... plus it goes out after 3 secs so Im not bothered by it :-) - As a warning since 200k is coming up of course O2 sensors will need replacing, but not yet! This is a great car being sold with NO RESERVE!! - Buyer is welcome to pick up the car in Los Angeles area or we could arrange possibly a close drop off - Still a head turner for a fraction of the cost, most people will think it cost 2x the price, and if you maintain it as well as I did the first decade I can imagine this car going another decade or 300000 miles!! EASY - GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING
