Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a exceptionally nice, unrestored Honda CL 360 made in 1975. This bike only has 2,941 miles on it. You will see on the title these are "ACTUAL" miles. Not rolled past the mechanical limits of the odometer. It was owned by Walther family (reportedly belonged to the famous race car driver Salt Walther). This bike was purchased at the auction in Dayton, Ohio when they sold all of the Dusenberg and Packard parts. Steve Miller of MG Automotive bought it and it sat in climate controlled storage under a cover for years. I bought it from Steve this spring. I had new points and condenser installed, both carbs cleaned, rebuilt and synchronized, "red coated" the inside of the gas tank, installed a new fuel petcock, battery and did some other odds and ends to make it reliable and run great. All of the work was performed by a factory trained Honda mechanic and was extensively documented with photos. These will be included with the bike (on two cds, as well a new front tube, band, two new (possibly new old stock) turn signal lenses and a new set of levers). This has a six speed transmission. It shifts smoothly up and down through the gears. The engine runs great and the bike is quite pleasant to ride. I have ridden it about 130 miles since the tune up. No problems at all. The chrome looks very good on this bike. The fork tubes are a bit dull, but with some elbow grease could be improved easily. The paint looks great. Seat is unmarred and looks very good. There are a few very small nicks here and there, but nothing that is readily visible without close examination. Tires look fine, but bear in mind they are 36 years old. There are the remains of the Honda of Toledo sticker on the top of the tail light, I did not try to remove it. This is an extremely good looking motorcycle. This will be available to examine in Springboro, Ohio 45066. Please come look at it if you are close. You will not be disappointed. No rides until you own it... we learned that lesson the hard way with our very fine Austin Healey that was totalled on a wild test ride (guess who's insurance paid for that disaster). Please e-mail questions. THANKS! Local pickup only. No trades desired. Please do not inquire about a "buy-it-now" price or what the reserve is... Thank you in advance for having good ebay manners. On Jul-02-11 at 09:35:19 PDT, seller added the following information: I just found out we are going to have to go out of town from the 5th of July to the 10th. Pick up of the bike will have to be after the 10th of July. Sorry, but it is unavoidable. I will be accessible through e-bay's e-mail during this time. Thank you, Fred Hill
