I am selling a rough but restorable 1970 Opel GT. The car was purchased by my now deceased father in 1985. He had always planned on restoring the car but never got around to it. So it sat in his garage until he retired in 2005. It was then transferred to my garage when he sold his house. I don't have the time to restore it. and being honest with myself, if I keep it thinking I'll get around to restoring it. It will probably sit another 30yrs in my garage. So here it is. The car is all original except for the carburetor which my father replaced with a 2 barrel weber. There is considerable rust on the lower rocker panels. Passenger side is worse than the drivers side. The car is in a general state of disrepair. The last my father worked on the car he had been in the process of replacing all the break lines and getting them to work. If interested please ask questions. I will do my best to answer them. Note: The car is not in running condition. The engine and transmission are good and the car did run before my father had started to take it apart for restoration. The interior is all original with all the panels/seats ect. and in decent condition. The shifter for the tranny is in the car but not attached. I have all the wheel center caps as well as the chrome rings. The only thing I can think of that is no longer with the car is the muffler which was rusted out and disposed of years ago. As I have stated above. The car is essentially complete. A good deal if you have the time and want to restore it or have an opel and want spare parts.
