Unbelievably Beautiful 1970 El Camino!!! This was a one-owner car when my son purchased it about 10 years ago. After driving it a few years, he decided to go all out and have the body restored to better than new condition. Approximately $6,000.00 was spent on bodywork and paint to bring the car to its current immaculate condition. There is not a scratch, ding, chip or other blemish on the beautiful paint job. It looks better than when it came from the factory. Prior to the car being painted, the 350 engine was removed and completely overhauled with new pistons, valves and camshaft. A new Edelbrock manifold and 4-barrel carburetor were installed, as well as headers and a complete new exhaust system. Over $3,000.00 was spent in bringing the engine back to near-new condition. The engine has less than 1,000 miles on it since being overhauled. The automatic transmission was flushed and checked by the top transmission shop in Oklahoma City with no problems found. The car also has new seat covers, carpet and floor mats with “El Camino” embroidered in the mats. The windshield was replaced as well. All bushings in the door hinges were replaced, and new weatherstripping was installed around both doors. There is no wind noise from leaking weatherstripping when the car is at highway speed. The headliner is the only interior item that needs to be redone. The current headliner is acceptable but needs to be replaced to make this a true show car. New tires were installed on the front about 500 miles ago. The back tires are in good condition. New ball joints were installed in the upper and lower control arms. The car has a new power brake system and new brakes installed on all four wheels. The axle seals in the differential were replaced and the differential was replenished with new grease. All chrome trim is in good condition. Rear bumper was replaced with a new one when the car was repainted. This car has always been stored inside since being repainted. In terms of full eBay disclosures, there are a few blemishes (scratches and dings) in the bed of the truck which can easily be touched up. They in no way detract from the beauty of this El Camino’s fantastic body. There is also one molding on the left front fender that should be replaced to match the others. The car is set up for R-134 refrigerant, but the system needs to be charged to cool effectively.
