Vehicle Detail

For sale, 1 owner 1972 Jaguar XKE E-Type Series III Convertible. This car has had only one owner in its life. It was owned by a prominent Head Surgeon, therefore whatever the vehicle needed it received. The car has 120,949 miles on it. The engine and transmission are original and is the 250 hp, 5,343 cc (326 cu. in.) 60-degree OHC V12, with a four-speed all-synchromesh transmission, independent front suspension with semi-trailing wishbones, torsion bars, telescopic shock absorbers, anti-roll bar, independent rear suspension with lower transverse tubular links, radius rods, universally jointed half-shafts, twin coil springs and telescopic shock absorbers, Girling four-wheel disc brakes. The vehicle features a wheelbase of 105''. There is no valve noise in this engine. Factory wire wheels. The vehicle also has: New rear shocks, new water pump, new radiator, new alternator, and the rear main seal on the engine seeps, but does not drip. The vehicle runs and drives perfect. There are no loose parts, no rust, and has never been driven in the rain. The introduction of the Jaguar E-Type at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1961 was a huge surprise to the Performance Car Enthusiasts. Federal emissions robbed Series II cars of power from 1968, so in 1971, the Series III E-Type appeared, powered by a 5.3-liter V12 engine. This maintained the car’s legendary performance while meeting emissions regulations. The car includes all its original equipment, including the spare tire. Factory-installed options include chrome plated wire wheels. Perhaps best of all, the car has a four-speed manual gearbox. Vehicle has the original paint. This vehicle has only been touched up, not painted. This is one of the rare untouched and original vehicles of its type.
