This is a beautiful example, and a well cared for rarity. I see that there are two other Giygiaro Esprits on ebay right now that also look to be in nice shape. For whatever reason, it is very rare to find one that has been taken care of and they are normally beaten all to hell. This car is an HCI, which puts out around 3% more power than previous Esprits, but delivers over 10% more torque. Lotus only made the HCI Esprit between late 1985 and 1987, and less than a third of them made it to the US. The entire 3-year run of HCI cars was only 506 units worldwide. This being the case, I have long felt that the HCI Esprit is one of the most under-priced, hand made exotics in the world. This car is in amazing shape. The interior is nearly perfect and the original paint is absolutely amazing with no clear-coat fading or flaking. The original bumpers are in perfect shape and all of the rubber throughout the car (seals, runners, trim, etc...) is soft and flexible with no cracking or signs of age. The roof is removable. Everything is in working order (AC, power windows, power mirrors, etc...). The car runs flawlessly and still blows me away every time I open it up. Built to compete directly with the Ferrari 308, this car still delivers. I put less than 1000 miles per year on the car, and it lives garaged under a factory cover, which goes with the car. I purchased this car sight-unseen off of ebay about 4 years ago and could not have been more pleased. It had come from Arizona, so it had absolutely no rust or condensation problems whatsoever. Also, it had been a show car and came with a number of 1st and 2nd place trophies, along with an extensive folder of service receipts. All of these items will go with the car. I have also installed a $1,200 CD stereo system with an Alpine deck and Eclipse speakers.Please feel free to ask me any questions, as I'm sure I have left some things out.
