1982 Mercedes 240D She's no beauty queen or show car. I have owned this car for the last 55,000mi. I only stopped driving it because the brakes are out (this happened about a week after I got 4 new tires). I have lost interest in doing any repair work. The car needs some work or you can part it out or use it for your grease car project...whatever. The auction starts at what the scrap dealer just quoted me...they will crush it...seems like a waste. Engine and trans work fine. There is no AC ( I removed the compressor a long time ago so it would not rob power). The car needs at least 2 brake calipers and the rear exhaust could use replacing. It has had some body patches and the lower half is as close in color as I could get. The driver door key lock just started sticking. The lock works from the inside, but you can't use the key. Don't know if this can be fixed, or if needs replacement. The car gets about 29mpg and the red thing you see under the hood is a water jacket type fuel heater. The interior is MB-Tex and in surprisingly good shape. The radio works. I have taken a lot of pics and will be happy to answer any questions. Do NOT ask me to end the auction early.
