2002 Porsche 911 Carrera with 6-speed transmission. Mileage is 80,621. Basalt Black with black interior. Aero kit, 18' Sport Design wheels, wheel caps with colored crests (2 of the crests are missing), PSM, black mats, Porsche crest in headrest, CDC-3 6-disc CD Changer, Sunroof, dual power mirrors, dual power seats. I purchased this car in December 2008 and have used it as my daily driver, putting approximately 20K miles on it during the past 2 and 1/2 years. The car has had an engine failure and is NOT operational at this time. The local Porsche dealer conducted some diagnostics and said something caused a shaft failure. They recommend replacing the engine. I've spoken with several shops around the country and they believe it may have been an IMS bearing failure. The engine has NOT been removed from the car and disassembled, so at this point I'm not entirely sure what happened or if the engine can be repaired. I currently lack the funds to replace the engine, so I am selling the car as-is. There is no warranty, express or implied, with this car. Other than the engine being non operational, the car is in pretty good condition. There are some scratches in the paint and I would rate it about a 7. The seats are in good condition and there is not too much wear and tear on the driver's seat. The upholstery is in good condition although the driver's side floor mat could stand to be replaced. The car is due for a service and the rear tires need to be replaced. This car could make for a good daily driver or track car if the engine is replaced or if it can be repaired.
