You are bidding on a 1983 Honda GL650 Interstate Silverwing. It is water-cooled and shaft-drive. I am the second owner and have put over 6000 miles on it in less than four years and have enjoyed the bike. It starts and runs well for riding around town or on the road. It rides two-up at 65 mph with no problems and could probably go faster, but we prefer to avoid the interstates. Doesn't leak or use oil or fluids and gets 50 miles per gallon. Tires and battery have about 5000 miles on them. It has an aftermarket extension for the trunk/backrest as pictured. You can also replace the back seat with the trunk for a single rider. The faring and over-sized windshield makes for a comfortable ride. It has the original manual, helmet chain and nearly complete tool kit and Honda shop manual for the Silverwing. It is in good shape for being 28 years old, but it is not in showroom condition. It is not the original paint and decals and it has a few scratches, but no serious dents or breaks. The saddle bags are clean and functional, but do not close weather tight. The fan has a manual switch and the gauge reads like it runs hot, but it cools down quickly and when I check it with a thermometer it is operating in a typical temperature range.
