Vehicle Detail
This is an easy restoration project. I bought this car from a collector in El Paso Texas last December. I actually only wanted the rear trunk flight sweep trunk lid to use on my 62 Imperial Convertible. Frankly, I was shocked at how great this car is and it needs to be restored, not parted out. I feel guilty for taking the trunk lid but I really have to focus on my convertible before I take on more projects. This is an early 61 Lebaron, only 1,026 Imperials Lebarons were built by Imperial that year. It has the 413 engine which you can see from the pictures is all there, missing nothing, There are no oil leaks marks. the engine turns freely. I think this will start up if some underdash electrical wiring is fixed. It's white with the fawn broadcloth interior. the front seat was replaced but I do have a used front seat that goes with this car...the only issue is that the front seat is in Council Bluff Iowa and the car is in Augusta Maine. The seat goes to the winner but you have to make arrangements to pick it up. It's the proper split seat and I'll post a picture of it shortly. The car is loaded, Chrysler Air Temp, power windows, seats, air vents, cruise control, twilight sentinel, tinted glass, remote mirrors, side wheel trim edges. It's missing one tail lamp and the other issues is that the drivers door hinge seems to be bent so the door wont close. The windows are not full in the up position. the car is solid as a rock. There is some dents and dings which have some surface rust. You can see in the photos but the car it self is rock solid, frame and body. All the chrome and stainless steel on the car shines. It has the really neat stainless steel incerts on the roof as well as the chrome molding and trim on the room. the glass windshield is great, not cracked or faded. I've put (4) 62 wheel covers I had laying around. I'm sure this had the 61 style with the floating ring....which is hard to find and expensive if you do. The actual white paint has held up very well on many parts of the car. I hate to see this car go but I've got to thin out my collection. I have way too many projects. this is a no reserve action and I'm starting the auction for 50 bucks. I want this car to be sold. also please note, there are no interior door handles or door panels or power window buttons with this car. the are also piles of parts related to the air conditioning system duct work and vents that will be included with the car.On Jun-11-11 at 15:06:34 PDT, seller added the following information: To Be Clear, this is an IMPERIAL LEBARON...the Southhamption reference is wrong...it's a Imperial Lebaron 4 door hard top. I can't change the title now that a person has bid on this car.On Jun-12-11 at 13:55:31 PDT, seller added the following information: http://www.vuvox.com/collage/detail/041ece1cfbOn Jun-12-11 at 14:08:21 PDT, seller added the following information: FOR OVER 50 PHOTOGRAPHS THAT ARE LARGER, CLICK ON THE LINK.
