I have a 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente Convertible for sale. This Awesome Car, is also an Investment. I put the top down and cracked the back window (plastic) in cold weather. The tires have set on a concrete floor, for the 10 or 11 years i have owned it - around 55 mph there is a shimmy ( probably tire balance ). Transmission pan gasket leaks some fluid. There is a small spot of surface rust starting in front of the rear wheels - can see little bubbles in paint, has not broken through paint yet. I was told when i bought the car, that a younger guy had bought the car originally. i believe he was killed in war, the parents kept the car. a lot of years passed, and there was a chicken coop setup around the car. i believe the father restored the car, and has entered it in car shows. I Bought the Car from an Estate Sale over 10 years ago. The Comet has little over 12k miles now, tittle shows it had 9k when i bought it. I Have a clear TITTLE IN HAND.
