One of the most most economical camping vehicles available ! 1982 Volkswagen T3 Vanagon Westfalia Pop-Top Camper - completely equipped and driven by 1.6 liter non-turbo Diesel engine with 4 spd manual transmission. Generations of Westfalia Campers have proven the reliability & popularity of these simple yet sophisticated and functional multi-purpose vehicles. This 1982 model spent a portion if its life in Florida and the southern states before it ended up in Arizona. The general condition is better than average, the paint presentable, some of it original - but various areas of touch-up. Chips, dings, scratches here and there. The fiberglass pop-top is in good condition, but the canvas is bad and needs to be replaced. Interior is in decent and functional condition, with refrigerator, stove, sink, heater, ac unit, swivel seats, 2 beds, 2 tables, cabinets, etc. The last few years it sat under a carport after the previous owner had passed away. The odometer does not work, the speedometer does. On the odometer it shows something around 168,000 miles, the clear AZ title reads Box C - Not Actual Mileage. After flushing the hydraulics (clutch & brakes) and the fuel system, as well as installing a new battery, the van came to life immediately. It runs, drives, stops just like it is supposed too. It could take a little bit of tinkering here and there, a new radio maybe and some detailing. There is some rust behind the front bumper underneath the lower grill, though covered with preventative coating, also in the front doors entry steps underneath the rubber protectors and under the carpet. Along the lower part of the drivers side is some poor previous repair for reasons unknown. All in All the VW Van looks very presentable and is definitely usable, yet far from perfect.
