1953 M38a1-c recoiless rifle army jeep This is a 1953 m38a1 willys army jeep. It was originally the m38a1-c variant for the recoiless riffle, however, I aded a tailgate to make it cover the open spot in the back. I made it so the tailgate can be easily removed to make the jeep and m38a1-c if you are interested in restoring it as such. THE BAD -pasenger seat not attatched properly due to the fact that the toolbox was removed at one point -panel under gas tank rusted out -gas tank has pin hole leak (currently has plastic gas tank secured behind driver seat) -horn not hooked up (easy fix) -speedometer and other gauges do not work (usual) -ebrake doesnt work (normal) THE GOOD -Frame in EXCELLENT condition little to no rust. -Body in excellent condition except where noted above -Rebuilt Engine -New Brake system/hard pedal (shoes, lines, cylinders, mast cylinder ect.) -All street lights work well including hazards -New front suspension -Parts for replacing old rear susepnsion (i.e. leaf springs and shocks ect.) comes with jeep -3 spare tires (m151 rims) and 1 jerry can all monted on back -New rostoleum camo paint job with appropriate markings (and original hood numbers) -TOO MUCH NEW TO LIST DROVE THIS JEEP 4 hours from Connecticut to New York to go camping.
