If you missed your chance to buy a new Eldo Convertible in 1976 here is the next best thing. This car was stored for most of it's life, and has traveled just 8000 miles since new. The original laquer paint was srarting to check a little so I had the entire car stripped to bare metal and painted with a new 2 stage basecoat-clearcoat Dupont finish. There was NO rust, bodywork, or damage to the car prior to this, only some minor crazing in the laquer paint. The new Sable Black finish is spectacular. The combination of black with buckskin leather, and convertible top is the prettiest I have ever seen. The interior of the car is 100% original, and shows no wear. Factory original pinstripes were hand painted to complete the exterior renovation. This car floats down the road like a Cadillac should, I have driven it 1000 miles with no issues. The original window sticker is still in the quarter glass, and has never been removed. One would be hard pressed to find a nicer example of this American Icon automobile, and it attracts alot of attention wherever it goes. The engine is the 500 c.i. fuel injected, and if you are looking for a car that gets great mileage look somewhere else! I have set a fair reserve price that is much less than my investment, the paintwork alone was more than $10,000.
