Vehicle Detail

For Sale: 1965 Ford Fairlane This car has treated me well. It shows an odometer reading of 64K, but that is not for certain, as it may actually be 164K. All plumbing has been changed: Water pump, hoses, T-stat & housing, fittings, radiator & heater core. It has manual brakes, where all components have been changed on this 4 wheel drum system including lines, five lug drums, shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders, hoses & bearings. I have rebuilt the single barrel carb that is stock to this vehicle & it has a thermal choke. It has bench seating, which it is almost perfect with the exception of a small tear, which just occured last week. Previous owner fabricated toe boards in the front. My opinion was to replace front pans, but that's just me. No A/C and has a radio delete on panel. Valve cover leaks a little, does not burn oil. A recent output shaft seal leak has also developed, but the 3 speed Cruise-o-matic Transmission shifts just fine. Rear end is stock & does not leak. Small pitting on the bumpers, but would make decent cores. Recommending replacement of trunk pan... you can see the ground, but holds well. I do have a good amount of stuff in there and wheels to another vehicle. Gas gauge does not work due to ground on dash itself. If you remove it from dash, you will get a reading, likely just a seal from gauge to dash. All lights work. See pics for imperfections in headliner, which is clean, but various holes here and there. Lots of rust on body, as you can see. Needs tie rod on pass outter side. Missing is the driver side headlamp door and its trim, due to vandals. And finally, weld is broke above driver front side of torsion bar to frame. My medical condition does not allow me to fix em up anymore and that is why it is for sale. A heavy duty project car, but with some time and patience, you can resurrect this old beast. 1965 was the only year for this body style and it is becoming quite scarce. Many parts still available via internet and you can convert the front end if you have a Monarch or Granada on hand. Anything is possible and there are too many new & good parts to send to the boneyard. Fix her and drive as is or pick & pull parts. This vehicle will need to be on a flatbed. I am open to offers as well. Thanx for looking & God Bless.
