This auction is for a 1974 BMW R90/6 that runs great. 1974 was the first year that BMW made the R90, so this is the very first incarnation of this classic bike. Here are just a few of the features of this bike: I’m the second owner of this bike, which has never been laid down. It was repainted by Autobahn Kraftwerk (Cincinnati) in 1999 or 2000 and has tan pinstriping, not stickers. The tank was also dipped and cleaned. It's got brand new petcocks. Both the kick start and electric start work great. The clutch is at 90%. It's had a recent oil change, with about 200 miles on the change.The tachometer was recently replaced, but the bike has the original speedometer with original miles shown.Fuel filters are about 2 years oldThe front hydraulic hose is braided stainless instead of factory rubber.Electronic ignition beats the heck out of points, but the points are still included.
