Vehicle Detail

Too many projects, not enough money. The engine is a M130 I believe 2.8l inline 6. The engine alone is worth what I am asking as a good rebuild-able core, except that it runs and drives. It has two carbs that appear to be recently rebuilt, along with two spare carbs that appear to be the original carbs that have been replaced by the rebuilt original carbs. These carbs in this condition are easily worth $200 dollars. I don't believe that a running driving Mercedes benz project is worth less than $1000. The good, Drove all the way home about 60 miles when I bought it in January with no problems except it would stall at stop signs, no overheats or loss of oil pressure. I tuned the carbs up a bit, it idles now cold and hot and starts right up. Transmission works shifting 3 gears forward, 1 reverse, working park and parking brake. Great tires! The front brake calipers have just been replaced with new rebuilt units and new brake pads. Comes with a new set of brake pads for rear. Just had the shifter bushing replaced. Four BEAUTIFUL Factory hub caps. (creme white) complete interior including Becker Europa AM/FM. leather seats, and all windows with no leaks. AC compressor NOT locked up. Windows and window vents all crank open and closed nice and smooth. Light lenses around the car are nice 95% of the chrome is good and shiny. Gauges work and fan works, I was told heat worked but I hve not tested it. This is a no post car meaning that all four windows roll down like two very large windows. This is generally a more rare option. Car does not over heat, and can be driven home except that it doesn't have inspection or insurance. Factory spare! This would be an excellent parts car or a reason drive and rebuild project/father son project! Check value on www.nadaguides.com I just got a new project and don't have time or money for this. The Bad, Driver seat is ripped by the shoulder, power steering doesn't work, speakers removed and stereo unhooked, WINDSHIELD CRACKED BADLY. Looks like old front end wreck badly repaired, it has fenders fom two different models. Because of this the hood and bumper don't seem to fit right. rust in various places, though floors seem good. Dash wood is old and cracked. Some light bulbs need replacing. I think there are multiple vacuum leaks and other missing carb controls, but like I said starts and idles with no problems now. So go figure This coupe is a NOPOST car, that means there is no metal frame between the front windows and the rear windows. Both windows roll down to give the impression of one double sized window, the same way a convertible does. Not to mention good seats, lots of good chrome, working gauges, and the fact that the car could most likely drive home today. (though no tags or inspection means it might not be very safe, I drove it home a few months ago from Mt. Vernon Texas a 60 mile drive!!!) Feel free to look up the prices of the parts, all the expensive stuff is good. I personalty, replaced the shifter bushing, and both front calipers. Do not expect to drive the car home like I did. Plan for trailered shipping, and if you arrive and feel you can drive the car home, which I do not recommend, then you may do as you please. Car is for sale locally, and I will remove this add if I receiver full payment from local buyer before the auction ends. M130 Engine, Zenith Inat Carburetors, Ate Brake calipers, all for Mercedes Benz W114 car.
