show details Mar 14The Honda CMX 450 Rebel is very reliable motorcycle, a prime example of legendary Honda quality. The 450cc engine has more than enough power to keep up with highway traffic, and makes a great commuter bike routinely capable of 50+ mpg. I have owned this bike for the past 10 years, the last 7 in southern California. It has always been kept in a garage, covered, and well-maintained. The paint is excellent, the chrome is shiny, and the tires are nearly new. Seats are in great condition -- leather is supple with no fading or cracks. The battery was just replaced last season, and stays on a trickle charger with float when not in use. If you're interested, I can provide the contact info for the mechanic who services it to vouch for what a clean bike this is. This would be an excellent choice for a student or less-experienced rider, as the rebel is a forgiving bike and very easy to ride. It's low center of gravity makes it very maneuverable and stable at any speed. Handles a second rider easily with a sissy bar and two extra footpegs in the back. The 450cc Rebel was only available for two years, from 1986-1987, and is rapidly becoming a collector’s item. Taken care of, this bike will continue to be a good investment. Bike sells with a DOT-approved helmet with full visor in matching black, riding gloves, and other miscellaneous gear. I will throw in a spare helmet and goggles for a second rider, if you like.
