You are bidding on a highly optioned, RARE, one-owner 1989 Dodge Daytona Shelby Turbo II with 68,054 original miles. Although the car has been in storage for many years, it was been driven from time to time to keep it operational. It is in mostly in FACTORY ORIGINAL condition with only a few items changed. The 2.2 turbo engine runs fine and the 5 speed manual transmission works as it should. This is a rare and highly optioned low-mile car with a low reserve to protect some of its value. The Body is very nice, shiny and straight and RUST-FREE! The original factory paint is a two-tone metallic blue with graphite metallic lower which is in very nice condition. No major swirl marks, fading, or cracking in the paint or body kits but does have a few scratches around the body. All the moldings are on the car and are very nice, shiny, straight and for the most part dent and pit free. All the decals are in very nice condition since it was garage-stored - preventing the sun from fading them. The urethane bumpers are nice and straight, have no cracks, spider-webbing or warping. All of the glass looks nice, no cracks or delamination. Weatherstripping and rubber are good to excellent. The back louvers are nice and straight with some minor paint peeling from oxidation under the paint. No restoration work was ever done to the car. It’s in its original condition from the factory. The Interior is Grey Leather and is in very nice shape. No cracks in the dash or tilt steering wheel. Most everything works. All power windows and locks work. Lumbar seat controls work but one of the hoses came off under the seats preventing the back lumbar from operating (the sides work, the back just needs to be connected). A/C did work but the compressor has seized up now. Clock, wipers work, AM/FM/Cassette radio all work. Standard and Optional Equipment on this car are... 4 wheel disc brakes, turbo engine with sport engine tune, 5 spd manual trans, T-tops, a/c, digital dash, air bags, ground effects, tilt, cruise, rear defogger, rear window louvers, power seats, power door locks, power windows, power steering, AM/FM/Cassette radio, tinted glass, snow flake rims and aftermarket alarm system. The Drivetain is a 2.2 liter turbo engine with the sport tune package producing 174 hp. which runs smooth and idles nice. The engine does not smoke, make any unusual noises or over heat. No major oil leaks or transmission leaks if any at all. Engine has had Mobil-1 oil changes every time since new! It drives nice, steers fine and stops. Brake rotors will need to be resurfaced or replaced since the surface finish is bad. The transmission and clutch operate as they should with no slipping or problems. The Undercarriage is in nice condition too. Since it was stored in a heated garage and has low miles the undercarriage has not rusted out as many of them did. Floor pans and subframe are original with no damage or repairs. Note: the front driver-side body mount support is getting weak. Other info: The car is in pretty much original condition with the following items replaced… shocks and struts, battery, new tires(very few miles since installed) and new muffler (no miles since installed last year). There are a couple of minor scrapes on the front bumper and scratches along the body (driver door, driver fender, pass mirror). The factory jack and all accessories are in the trunk. Trunk liner is in nice condition with no rips or damage. The car can be driven to its new home but again the brake rotor surfaces are bad which affects the braking quality. The driver seat belt retractor is stuck and will not operate. Some of the webbing on this seat belt is ripped and most likely needs to be replaced.
