1985 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler. White with black interior. 258 straight 6/4.0L, 4 spd. 33" Tires, American Racing rims Holley 2 bbl Carb 3x3 split hedders - into true dual exhaust Flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers Kenwood CD player Alpine 5 1/4" speakers 15 - 18 mpg (depending on how you drive) New stuff: Aluminum valve cover and gasket 3 core radiator U-joints (2 - rear axle) water pump Autometer 6000 rpm 2 5/8" tach Warrior class III hitch Bad stuff: Frame has some rust body has some bubbling bed has some weak spots and 2 small holes needs brake lines 4wd binds up when hubs are locked I have owned this Jeep since 2004, and it has split time as my daily driver for the most part Spring, Summer, and Fall. It runs EXCELLENT, sounds even better (I have another one with a V8 and this one sounds better - not like a UPS truck). The carb/intake/exhaust set up is the best I have ever experienced - better than fuel injection. I have owned 5 different Scramblers, and this is by far the best. I am selling because I have a 1 year old daughter and cannot keep the toys and storage anymore. Priorities have changed. Own a rare peice of automotive AMC/Jeep history! (1 of 2015 made in 1985)
