Vehicle Detail

Appraised at $5700 1984 Mercedes-Benz 190E Automatic Transmission Unleaded Gas <100,000 miles Clear title, no liens It will be sad to see this great car go. Its been a one family car for its entire life. Garage kept and treated like a baby. Two months ago we invested $750 in this car to make it ready for a new family-- news brakes, rotors and tires all around. We also replaced all the bulbs in the rear assembly and swapped out all of the fuses. In these time of ridiculous gas prices, this car also averages around 30MPG on the highway (its not a diesel). Its not a sports cars, but rather a reliable and gas efficient sedan. This amazing car has averaged less than 4K miles per year since it was built in Germany... the quintessential granny car. The 190E engine, of all Mercedes models, is known for lasting to 300,000+ miles. This one is just getting started ;) The car has a current inspection and is eligible for Antique plates. The interior is in overall amazing shape and the stereo has been upgraded to a nice CD player head unit. The exterior is looks great given the vintage of the car. No weird leaks in the windows or trunk. These are the known issues-- -the engine runs amazingly well and we've been driving it to Northern VA every other weekend to make sure it runs OK; it runs great. Consistent with this model, the transmission lags a little bit when its shifts from 1st to 2nd gear. The lag is a just one of the things that makes this model unique. Once you're in 2nd, its perfect. In other words, no drag racing. -it has a sunroof, but it hasn't been opened in years. We haven't risked doing so-- there's absolutely no leaks, but opening may break some sort of ancient seal. -like all old fogies, it likes a few extra minutes to warm up and get going in the winter time ;)-the odometer is slowing down in it old age. Its sticks on occasion. Odometer reads 97xxx, but my best guess is that the mileage is closer to 99,000... no real way to be sure. We're downsizing (including parking spaces) and have priced this baby to move quickly. Great around-town car that boasts phenomenal gas mileage.
