Vehicle Detail
This Silver Cloud III is in its original condition, including the original seats, woodwork, radio, motor parts, exterior, and even carpeting, which makes it a good choice for the serious collector or those who wish to restore the car for showing/competitions. Although it runs well and is in good shape mechanically and the exterior is in exceptional condition, it needs some front seat reupholstery, carpeting, and motor tuning. These things should be relatively inexpensive and even a complete restoration should be pretty reasonable given the absence of any major problems mechanically or cosmetically. The accompanying photos should give a good idea of the overall shape of the car. If I wern't moving across country and into a condominium, I wouldn't let the car go. Although I personally haven't driven the car more than fifty miles, it does get a lot of attention, even applause one time. Thank you for your interest and good luck bidding! On May-24-11 at 11:55:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Of note to those who inquired about installing A/C in the car: Classic Auto Air Mfg. 2020 W. Kennedy Blvd. Tampa, Florida 33606 813-251-2356 This company offers retrofit units for Rolls and Bentleys, they look virtually OEM installed. Back in the late 70's, I worked exclusively with a Rolls and Bentley serviceman and we used to install these. The evaporator is up under the dash, can't see it unless you peek under the dash, so it doesn't take away from leg room for front passenger. It's not like OEM where it's in the boot behind the rear seat back. They do a good job of cooling, not 100% as good as the original, but the car is cool. Thought maybe you could use this information. Good luck selling it, it appears to be in fine condition appearance wise! -
