Vehicle Detail

Hello, selling my 1989 Toyota Supra Turbo. She is a white hardtop with all the best from the factory: TEMS, leather interior, 5spd R154 manual trans, progressive power steering, LSD rear end and the mighty 7mgte. Car has an original 45,000 miles on it; body is literally in showroom condition with original paint. Has a couple very small blemishes throughout, you have to search very hard for them. It looks as good up close as it does in the pictures. This car has been taken very well care of. The owner before me was meticulous, and I am just as meticulous. Car has never been driven in the snow, I have never driven it in the rain, maintenance has been performed before it is needed, and the cars finish has been waxed multiple times throughout the summers. The 7m had the notorious blown head gasket issue. All machine work was done professionally.. This is the first thing I had taken care of. The head and block deck were shaved and a custom Cometic metal head gasket was ordered to accommodate the material taken off. ARP head studs were used to torque the head down to 85 ft/lbs. If it blows again, then a nuclear bomb just went off. If you have owned a vehicle with the 7m in it, this has happened while you have had it, or it happened before you had it. This was the norm for these engines. The head was not torqued properly from the factory. I took the opportunity to freshen up the engine (even though she hasn't even passed break in :) new Clevite 77 main and rod bearings, new Toyota piston rings, checked crank and cams for runout, put in ARP connecting rod bolts, new crankshaft main bolts, had oil pump checked and tolerances checked. The machinist I had this done at is VERY knowledgeable, and made sure that the engine was good to go. All new timing belt and accessory belts. I have 70% of the paperwork from this work. Some of the paperwork got oily and I threw it away. I also had the valves cleaned up, new stem seals, and had the valve train adjusted (shims checked). I did some mods to her externally as well. Nothing that would takeaway from the natural look of the car. Engine: 3" Titan stainless steel down pipe with flex section that eliminates the elbow off of the turbo. 3" Full back exhaust to a magnaflow muffler. Trans-Dapt oil filter relocation kit Hallman Pro RX boost controller LIPP MAF adapter for a 3" K&N cone filter Treadstone aluminum intercooler with 2.5" lines and silicone fittings with stainless T-clamps Koyo R-type aluminum racing radiator Dual 2500 cfm electric fans 4 guage grounding wire NGK irdium plugs MSD superconducter wires LIPP Stainless steel center valve cover Have just begun using synthetic oil (after 1500 mile break in) REDline MT-90 used in trans REDline LSD fluid Have a Lotek gauge pod in it with autometer c2 gauges for boost and temp. The interior is in exceptional condition, however the drivers seat has some rips in it. Oh, yeah, I have the original sales slip from when the car was bought. The car was just under $30,000! That is close to about $50,000 these days! Not really too important, but neat none the less. Things it may need are brakes and tires soon. There are Kelly chargers on it right now, and while they have a lot of tread left, they are loud. I have almost all of he original parts if you want them as well as some small extra new parts. There is probably more I am forgetting to list. Lots of little things were done to keep her in top condition. The car runs like a top and she looks good doing so. I am moving on to other hobbies, particularly off road, and I want extra money for school next year. I still love the car, but it is my hope that I can move on to a MK4 when I graduate college in two years. I love the MKIII's, but the power of a MK4 is something to behold. If you are interested and have a question, feel free to ask, I don't bite. If you want more pictures, I have to go where it is stored and snap a few more. It may take a couple of days. When I was looking for these cars a few years back, cars with just under 100,000 original miles and similar engine work were averaging anywhere from $6,500 to $9,500. I figure for the condition this car is in, the mileage, and the fact that it is the best of everything from Toyota at the time, it is worth it to be almost right in the middle price wise. Now the fun stuff; I do require a $1500 deposit via either bank/certified check when the auction ends. The rest of the balance can be paid with bank check/ cash as well. I will only ship the car (if this is what you choose) when the check clears. I would also like to do the same if you are coming to pick it up in person. So please, send payment before you come. I have no problem holding on to the car for you if you need to travel. Thanks for looking.
