I am selling my Red 1978 Honda CB 550 CB550 K Four. This is an extremely clean nice original low mile example. The bike runs perfect and only has 5,571 miles on it. Everything works on the bike. ENGINE: The motor runs perfectly. The carburetors were just ultrasonically cleaned. One of the air box boots is a little weak and probably should be replaced. The exhaust does have holes in it (see pictures), I have heard of people repairing them. Replacement aftermarket exhausts are available. BODY: The paint, bodywork and seat are in excellent shape as you can see from the pictures. The paint is original. No dings or dents and the inside of the gas tank is in perfect condition. This Bike would make a beautiful daily rider; with a little TLC it would be simply stunning. I believe the tires are original, the tread is near perfect but there is a little dry rot on them. The bike will need the rubber gas tank mount under the seat, the part is $12 and still available from Honda. CHASSIS: The chassis is extremely clean, check out the pictures. I think I have gone through everything. Examine all pictures and ask any questions before bidding. The bike is sold with a Massachusetts title and bill of sale. The bike comes with the owner’s manual but I could not find a tool kit. The bike is garaged in Lowell MA. The bike is SOLD AS IS no warranty. V.I.N.
