It was my daily driver for years but I got called east to take care of my folks. I live in New York part time, and Santa Rosa, Ca part time. The van is parked in Santa Rosa and its time to let it go. The engine runs and sounds good. 1973 Volkswagen Van powered by Ford 2.8 litre V6 engine. Very fast, powerful, dependable. Engine runs, may need some work. Needs a new starter motor(stock VW) Currently has an adapter plate and flywheel from Kennedy engineering. Best available. Clutch is Kennedy's stage 1. Radiator is from a Chrysler Le Baron and has the capacity to cool a 318 cubic inch engine. The 2.8 Ford is 170 cubic inches. I took off the airfilter just for the picture. I covers a good part of the engine. The van is equipped with a heavy duty sway bar and gas pressure shocks in the front, coil over gas pressure shocks in the rear. Hella lighting. Rare Jackman spoke wheels all around. Two of the wheels don't run true and need to be straightened. Stock wheels also come with the van. Tires need replacing. The van is a less common bench seat model, not a walk through. Gutted in the rear, no seats. Headliner is shot. Front seats need covers. All the glass is good. Doors, sliding door, rear hatch all work fine. Brakes, steering, transmission etc, all good. Van needs cleaning up and some work. But would not consider it a project car. Van is smog exempt.
