For auction is a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta VR6 GLX. This car has 192k+ miles on it. The engine is in excellent condition and the car has been consistently serviced throughout it's life. Has two new tires and received a full auto-detailing last week. It has also been garage kept for the last 7 years. I have a complete CARFAX available for anyone who would like to see it. I can e-mail it in a .pdf for interested parties. Everything with the car is good except for usual wear on the body, scratches, some chips in paint, etc. I would say the car is in FAIR condition. It does have a good dent/scratch along the rear passenger door, see photos. Mechanically, the car has only received synthetic oil changes throughout it's lifespan. It has had all major services. I have been told by multiple mechanics that the engine is still mint and that the car is in excellent shape. The mileage on the car is mostly highway miles. The biggest problem with the car is the transmission. When I let the car warm up for approximately ten minutes, the car's transmission functions well. However, when I do not let it warm up, it has difficulty shifting from 1st to 2nd. Interestingly enough, the tiptronic works really well and I have not had issues when I switch to the tiptronic. I took the car to an AAMCO and had them look at the transmission. I have their report if anyone would like to see it, but this is what it states: "The Transcan/Protect check revealed that the transmission fluid level is OK and the condition is NORMAL. Delay in drive harsh 1st to 2nd gears. Recommended Internal Service." Winning bidder can come pick up the car or I will arrange to drive it to you depending on the distance.
