1978 Honda CT

For sale by private owner a 1978 Honda CT90. Bike was purchased in western PA where it was in a barn under a tarp. Buyer was assured that bike had 236 miles. Since that time only 13 miles have been put on it. Although I restore bikes this bike is not restored...it is in original condition. I cleaned tank out, set valves, and put points and a plug in it. Tank had to be glass beaded inside because of surface rust. It was flushed out with gas a few times and a filter has been put on to assure that nothing gets into carb. Carb rebuild kit put on. Needs a new throttle cable. Needs flasher unit. One grip is torn on tip of grip. Compression is on spec. Tranny (Hi/Lo) works fine and shift through all gears smoothly. Center cover has no cracks or defects which is rare for most CT90's. One cover screw missing (see picture). Rear rack chrome good....another rarity for older CT90's. Runs but idle speeds up. May need retimed. For sake of this sale vehicle is "as is". It is located in Youngstown, OH (midway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh). If buyer wants to have it shipped he/she must make and pay for all shipping fees. I will crate bike for $100.00. If bike needs to be transported to a shipping depot buyer pays 80 cents/mile both ways. Tank has some minor paint discoloration. There is very minor rust. Chrome is good. New mirrors. Rims are good.Tires appear new. New points. New plug. Battery box was glass beaded, primered, and painted because of battery breather tube not installed. Take a look at original rear chain and sprocket picture. Whenever buying a bike on ebay this picture tells more than any other picture as to bikes use. Teeth gaps aren't worn wider than chain roller and teeth aren't curved....both of which shows miles and wear. Owner got a bill of sale when purchased. A bill of sale will be given to buyer.
