Vehicle Detail

I am reluctantly selling my beautiful 1992 K 75K S. It is Royal metallic blue and it is fitted with a color-matched Hannigan fairing. The Hannigan lowers are included but not currently mounted on the bike. The bike originally came from the Washington DC area and was serviced by Bob's BMW as well as Mortons. I bought the bike two years ago and rode it back to Arkansas from DC. It did not miss a beat on that trip nor any of the trips since then. But that's to be expected of a K75, especially one with such low miles. The ABS control unit was not working when I bought the bike so I replaced it (ouch!) and it now works fine. I am a bit of a stickler as far as having all controls and instruments working, so I activated the choke light and repaired the fuel warning light. As far as I know everything on the bike is functioning. The Hannigan fairing (including the handguards) provides excellent wind protection. My GPS stays dry even in rain thanks to the windshield design. Included is a seat sheepskin and tank cover. The bike has Metzlers (mid-run), powder coated and pin-stripped wheels, Hyper-lights, Fiam Horns (LOUD), throttle lock, running lights, Odyssey battery, and headlight relay. Also color matched side cases. This is the second bike I have owned mounted with a Hannigan. They are very rugged and aerodynamic. Plus they have quite a lot of storage in the side pockets. Currently the bike has a Garmin Zumo mount hard wired. This auction does not include Zumo mount but it is negotiable if the successful bidder should want it. The odometer was replaced by BMW at 8K and currently shows 29,048. It is bound to have a few more miles on it at the end of the auction as I ride the bike frequently. The bike has no major damage history and has only very light scratches in the paintwork. I own two bikes, this one and a R1200GSA. I can no longer justify nor afford to keep two bikes. And since I do occasionally ride the back roads, I am keeping the GSA. But it is hard to let go of the K75 as many feel it was the best motorcycle ever built. Just take a look at the Iron Butt results, multiple BMW 75's finish every year in spite of the fact they have not been produced for almost 17 years.
