1987 Honda Rebel CMX 450C Hi everyone, I am selling my wifes’ 1987 Rebel CMX450C REBEL with only 9200 miles on it. We bought this bike about 3 years ago, and I rode it home and hid it from her mom and dad and drove it from time to time. Well she never learned to ride and now it must find a new home. It is a beautiful Burgandy/Maroon color, the whole bike looks spotless, and runs flawlessly. Whether you want this bike for a starter bike, or a collectors item I'm sure you will not be disappointed. Since I have had it, I had a local honda dealer check it out and they rebuilt the carbs, changed oil, plugs, air filter, adjusted the rear brake, and adjusted and lubed the chain. I installed a new battery last week just to be safe, and that being done, I took it on a 400 mile trip around the Michigan thumb last week and it performed perfect!!!! From highway speeds to sitting in Michigan traffic it never skipped a beat, and got great gas mileage!!! It starts right up, stops straight, and it drives great on the highway. This bike has never been dropped, all lights and everything work, and it runs and drives like a dream. It has a few little paint chips and a small dent on the top of the tank, (I can send pics, nothing bad). The right front turn signal rubber needs to be replaced and the exhaust chrome has some blueing. Overall, the paint is shiney and chrome is in good shape, the original seat looks new. It does have some light surface wear and tear from age and storage but that is it. Tires are in good shape, but are showing signs of age. This would be a great beginner street bike. It just needs someone to drive it. I have other toys and my wife does not want to ride "such a nice bike" so I am not going to push her. But I hate to see this bike sit, not to mention that I am tired of cleaning and maintaining another toy!! I am located about 30 miles north of Detroit. NO TIRE KICKERS PLEASE!!! Sold as is.
