Vehicle Detail
The trailer brake is mounted down and to the left of the steering column and NOT factory integrated into the dashboard... I think these came out the following year. We bought the van in Oct 2009 from a Cincinnati OH family They bought it earlier in 2009 but I think they bit off too much. They just had their sixth kid and decided to get a '95 Econoline to go debt/credit free. They bought my van from a Cinci dealer but I think the van was used as a hotel shuttle in 2008. It had 25,050 miles when we bought. We drove down to Ohio to buy since I absolutely wanted factory running boards and not white! Seems like there's a glut of white vans with no privacy tint... brrr.... Which reminds me... I actually added the Tele Mirrors after I bought the van. They're OEM and actually easy enough to switch out... I could swap these back if the big mirrors aren't your cup of tea... but I can't imagine why not... -------------------------------------------------- OK, details added based on emails. Also, I added the Door jam sticker pic to the photos... Yes, I have a 30 ft travel trailer and when hooked up this van doesn't even know it's dragging it behind. Unfortunately, I've only pulled it once with this van which my wife is highlighting to me in detail at this moment....... :( Why am I selling I'm asked. I work for... an automobile manufacturer... allowing me to get internal leases that include insurance. So my teen drivers are covered under these leases (without astronomical teen rates). About a year and a half ago, rather than internally leasing another econoline, I purchased this one outright to free up a lease for my son (who had tickets). Now he's getting married, buying a house and can't use my lease when not at my address. His tickets fell off, he's getting his own car/insurance, and I'm getting my lease option back where I turn in a Fiesta for another e350. If anyone still has questions don't hesitate to ask.... -------------------------------------------------- Exterior Color: Dark Toreador Red Metallic Interior Color: Medium Flint Transmission: 4 Spd Automatic Engine: 5.4L V8 16V MPFI SOHC Gasoline 60/40 Hinged Side Cargo Door (STD) OPTIONS 924 - PRIVACY GLASS $460.00 41E - COLOR-KEYED FLOOR CONSOLE $40.00 948 - REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY $225.00 536 -Class II/III/IV Trailer Towing PKG w/Hitch $285.00 * electric brake controller tap-in capability * trailer wiring harness w/bumper bracket * relay system for backup/B+/running lights * trailer tow hitch 687 - RUNNING BOARDS $320.00 * short driver side & long passenger side running boards 43R - Reverse Sensing System $280.00 54E - Dual Telescopic Trailer Tow Mirrors * dual manual adjust telescopic frame * pwr flat lens w/manual convex spotter lens============================================================ OK, some feedback: In the 2 inch hitch is a Rhino brand 36" hitch step. I've got a storage bag for this but it does not have a brake light. The hitch mounted cargo carrier is great for storing coolers, luggage, but have not tried to secure a motorcycle to it.... In the pic of the front console there is a mounted indoor/outdoor thermometer. The 350 plate on the front is only related to the van being e350. It has a 5.4L... which reminds me, about a year ago I put on a calibration changer like what you find on ebay to improve gas mileage. I can't say it worked one way or the other and can easily remove if desired. We took a round trip Livonia to Holland MI with 10 people and luggage in the van and got ~11.5 mpg. Screw the gas prices. With seven kids this is our fifth e350 12 pass and we're getting a 2011. Power, comfort and safety... This is truly the mother of all family vans... runs smooth, looks great and priced low to sell.... Good catch, I didn't see it myself.... Thinking about it now I see what happened.... A few weeks back the front right tire valve stem just blew sitting in the driveway (freaky, and terrifying my wife who outside at the time). I put on the spare and had the valve stem replaced, then swapped them back. Reading about the tire learning system now it seems like this threw off the sensor and now I'm supposed to use the pressure learning tool dohicky (looks like a keyfob) to reset the monitor... Will try this tonight and repost the pic with the light off. Also, I posted the emissions label and it appears to me the van is certified for California with "No Adjustments Needed" although you may need to be a lawyer or from California to understand the requirement...
