Up for auction is a 1970 Chevelle 396 SS. This is a true numbers matching car. The engine and transmission have never been apart. Having said that, the car does not run and needs a total restoration. All the floors are original and solid. The doors open and close very well with no sagging. Also there is no rust on the bottom of the doors. The trunk pan is solid and original. There is one 3-4 inch hole in the rear of the trunk pan. There will be attention needed around rear window and also on the front right windshield post. Attention will be needed on the rear trunk lid and where the rear trunk lid meets the trunk body. The right rear lower quarter will need a patch panel. The previous owner had a fender bender to the front left. No damage was done to the frame. Car comes with replacement SS front grill. Car does not come with a front bumper. All glass is in very good condition. This car was a vinyl top car. Car also comes with the high-performance F-41 suspension with the12-bolt rear end and also have all 4 original SS rims and center caps. It came factory with a bench seat and factory air condition. Based on VIN history, this car was made in Baltimore, MD. and sold at Martin Burk Chevrolet in Atlanta, GA. There were three owners prior to me. I have the owner’s manual and the protect-o-plate, as well as maintenance records from the prior owners. It is rare to find these number matching Chevelle’s that are not CLONES.
