Please read the following before you bid! We love our Dnepr motorcycles and want to find good homes for all of them, but... Dnepr motorcycles are not for everybody. They can be very frustrating and annoying to deal with, and that includes the most dedicated gearhead. They are antiques, not modern vehicles. We do the best we can to make sure the Dneprs we send out in the world are good, solid running vehicles. This is the last phase of a long process to get them ready for sale here in the USA. We buy them from our trusted partner in Ukraine, who refurbishes them. We import them direct, which involves dealing with customs in two countries. After we retrieve them from the Port of Oakland we begin the long process of registration and title issue Our small but dedicated technical staff performs a set of basic maintenance checks and tests, culminating in approximately 20 km of test driving. After that process is completed, and after a title is generated and delivered to our mailbox we feel we can offer the motorcycle for saleKeep in mind that this motorcycle was manufactured over 50 years ago in the former Soviet Union. It is not a modern vehicle and it does requires regular maintenance for optimum operation. Not really that different from buying a 50-year-old car.Buyer should be prepared to perform (or have performed) basic maintenance and service checks particularly during the break-in period of initial 500km. Basic maintenance includes checking and adjusting valves on both cylinders. Vehicle has an electronic ignition which is generally maintenance free (no mechanical points) but periodic inspection is a good idea. We provide our own maintenance guide to assist with the above procedures and other recommendations and buyer can call our shop for assistance. Price is FOB Sacramento. Parts The KMZ factory in Kiev is long out of production but still operates a factory store that sells parts and components (over-the-counter).
